SWAT tourniquet Military Application
Simulated Graphic Event. Working in Tactical Gloves.
This video shows some components of TCCC and casualty management using the SWAT-T (as a tourniquet, and separately as a pressure dressing – applied over hemostatic agent).
Pressure Dressings may be applied after tourniquet placement – which may allow tourniquet to be taken down by a medic (Trial Tourniquet), or a pressure dressing may be placed primarily for less severe bleeding (venous/small vessel).
Wound Packing may be necessary to help control bleeding. Can be done with standard gauze or more preferred a hemostatic agent – such as Combat Gauze depicted in the video.
